In His Presence

“Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?” Psalm 139:7 ESV

A glitter of light bounces off the snow laying on the ground. It’s almost as though it’s on display for everyone to see that it has arrived. Looking out the window, it seems so solemn and peaceful on the ground in all its glory. Oh, that we could encounter the closeness of God’s presence all around us like the snow. How wonderful it would be to encounter the glory of his presence, like the light the reflects in the snow.

As we go through each day, there are circumstances that can distract us. Some circumstances that trouble us, and perhaps even emotions like fear and worry can consume us. An encounter in God’s presence is the only way to bring freedom from those things that weigh us down. The snow will melt and it will leave for a season, yet it’s very molecular structure exists in the water we use every day. Just like water is always available, God’s presence is with us, he is all around us, he goes before us, and he walks behind us. He will fill us with His Spirit and also dwells in us when we surrender to him. He wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives. We will never be without the presence of God, even when he seems silent, there is no place where you and I cannot find him.

Jesus made it very clear, “if you seek me with all your heart, you will find me”[Jeremiah 29:13] Don’t let your mind be flooded with your circumstances today. Give him your trust. You will see him work out a miracle and reveal his glory through you. He is with you and you will always find him when you seek him. Ask him to reveal himself to you today.     READ MORE ...
